Ellis & Warren Marine Ltd was established in 1999. Chris Ellis and Steve Warren have vast experience of the marine industry.
Serving their time at Berthon Boatyard they both progressed to hold positions of responsibility running Lifeboat, M.O.D. and refit projects.
Moving to a composite spar manufacturer they formed the backbone of the shop-floor team, successfully completing one of the largest carbon pre-preg rigs outside of the Southern Hemisphere (Dubois 120 design).
Based at their premises on the Kings Farm Industrial Site Ellis & Warren are able to offer a comprehensive range of skills covering many aspects of the marine industry.
Over the years they have undertaken a range of projects from traditional boat building to hi-tech one off composite components. Traditional projects have included the major referbishment of a 54' Silver and both traditional and pre-formed teak decking.
They have built composite booms for America's Cup and Volvo race teams, as well as components for Shirley Robertson and Ellen MacArther.
All plug and tooling work is carried out in house and they are able to offer a full C.N.C. machining facility.
More recently they have worked closely with the R.N.L.I. on the development and production of the Atlantic 85 console and control pods. They also manufacture the Tamar top-masts and a range of composite components for the D-Class fleet.
Currently they are working for a large German car manufacturer on the production of a Carbon / Nomex "Z" Fairing for their new wind tunnel.
