Carbon/Nomex Wind Tunnel Fairing
Ellis & Warren were commissioned to build a custom one off fairing for use in a wind tunnel currently under construction in Germany. From the original drawings supplied by the customer, a male tool was designed and built in MDF to help reduce costs. The component was constructed from carbon with a nomex core. The project was completed within schedule and to budget.
Atlantic 85 Console & Pods
Ellis & Warren were approached by the RNLI to build the Atlantic 85 Consoles. Working closely with the RNLI’s design team to produce a working prototype. Over the last seven years, upwards of seventy consoles have been built and commissioned to active service within the fleet.
D-Class Transom
Produced to replace the original ply transoms. Upgrades were built from glass and high density foam using a unique tray moulding system. The transom was produced in a single moulding process reducing cost per unit to the customer.
Custom Gaff Cutter Mast
Built to order for a customer in Malta, this forty foot carbon mast and gaff boom were produced entirely in house. Supplied fully assembled, complete with made to order stainless steel fittings. Previous to this Chris and Steve were involved in producing a one hundred and forty five foot carbon pre-preg rig for a Dubois 120.
Hull Repair
Following major structural damage to the hull of a thirty nine foot Sunseeker, Ellis and Warren took on the repair from the insurance company. Seven meters of damaged hull were removed though the centreline of the vessel, including frames, floors, bulkheads, and engine beds. The hull was reinstated complete with new frames, floors and bulkheads. Finally the repair was finished to the complete satisfaction of the customer, and insurer.
